Good introduction to accounting November 19, 2008 Sandman The book does a good job of exploring the basics of accounting. It explains concepts by demonstrating the use of a manual accounting system. The examples are well thought out and easy to understand. Computerized accounting systems are discussed only briefly. The Excel templates downloaded from the companion website are an excellent resource. They lead you through the preparation of various ledgers, forms and reports. The templates include validation of the user's entries, so you receive immediate feedback when something is entered wrong. If you use the templates to complete the exercises at the end of each chapter, you literally can't go wrong. The table of contents is rather hard to read. It employs lots of different fonts and colors which make it difficult to find the chapter or topic you are looking for. The actual book itself uses a lot of graphics, almost to the point where the pages themselves are too noisy. Nevertheless, many of the graphics are helpful and make up for the "graphic noise" on every page.

Excellent Service September 17, 2008 K. T. Hopkins (Delaware) This was the first time I purchased a book on-line (amazon.com). It was a very smooth transaction. The book was in excellent condition and the price was great. I was even assured by the seller that I would have the book in time for my class.
Accounting September 15, 2008 K. Moore The book was fine, it delivered easily and on time. I had actually ordered this book on accident, however. I was told that I needed a different book instead, and I was not able to return the book at all. I contacted the seller but they said they could not refund me or buy the book back. It was a terrible disappointment.
